DIGITAL RADIOLOGY
At Grantsburg Animal Hospital and Wild River Veterinary Clinic, we have state-of-the-art technology that allows us to generate a digitized x-ray image on the computer for immediate answers and the ability to transmit to clients and specialists upon referral. We routinely use x-rays to help identify the cause of a problem or rule out possible risks. X-rays provide valuable information about a pet’s bones, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, heart, and abdominal organs. We can use radiology alone or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools. Pets need to remain completely still while an x-ray is taken. In some cases, we may need to sedate your pet or use a short-acting anesthetic.
