Easter goodies, available this time of year, can make it challenging to keep your pet safe and healthy.
Chocolate and candy. Chocolate is toxic to both cats and dogs and xylitol, which is found in sugar-free candy, is toxic to dogs.
Easter tinsel/grass. Easter tinsel/grass can cause obstruction in the digestive tract if your pet decides to nibble on it.
Easter Lilies. If these beautiful flowers are ingested by your cat, it can be fatal.
Eggs. Whether they are dyed or plastic, keep these away from your pet. A spoiled egg not found during the hunt could give your pet stomach issues. If your furry friend chews and swallows a plastic egg, it can cause serious intestinal problems.
Toys. Baby chick and bunny toys may be good basket stuffers, but your pet may just want to snack on them. Be sure you keep these items off the ground and away from your pet.
Easter is a great holiday for people, but it can be very dangerous for your furry best friend. It is up to you as a pet parent to make sure your pet has a happy holiday, too!
