Greg Palmquist, DVM
Dr. Greg Palmquist is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He has owned Grantsburg Animal Hospital and lived in Grantsburg since 1984. Dr. Greg grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and enjoys working with dairy and beef cattle, especially reproduction and herd health. He also likes working with horses and helps with companion animal medicine.
Brandi Johnson, DVM
Dr. Brandi Johnson obtained her DVM from the University of MN and joined the Grantsburg Animal Hospital team in 2007. Brandi grew up in Eden Prairie, MN and received her undergraduate degree in Wildlife Ecology from UW-Madison. Dr. Brandi enjoys the variety of working with dogs, cats, cows, horses, and small ruminants. She particularly likes working with alpacas and llamas and is excited about expanding the practice's camelid clientele. In her spare time she loves spending time with family and friends, and outdoors - camping, canoeing, backpacking, hiking, skiing, and taking photographs.
Sue Johnson, DVM
Dr. Sue Johnson is a University of Wisconsin graduate who grew up in Omro, WI. She practiced in a dairy practice for six years until moving to Frederic, WI in 2000. Dr. Sue has worked for Grantsburg Animal Hospital since 2001. She enjoys working with companion animals, exotics, and cattle. She also has worked with a raptor rehabilitation center and has attended several courses on wildlife medicine. Dr. Sue has interest in small animal orthopedic surgery and does our bone surgeries.
Natalie Tankersley, DVM
Dr. Natalie Tankersley received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, her Master's in Ruminant Nutrition and her DVM all from the University of California, Davis. She came to Grantsburg Animal Hospital in the fall of 2009 and is originally from Gonzales, California. Dr. Natalie moved to Grantsburg with her husband, son, two dogs and a cat.
John Rathje, DVM
Dr. John Rathje came to Grantsburg Animal Hospital in June of 2010. He is originally from Clinton, IA.
Dr. John received his Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife and DVM from Iowa State University. He practiced in Plymouth, WI for nine years before returning to Iowa State University for two years as part of their veterinary school's faculty.
Dr. John moved to Grantsburg with his wife, Sheri, son, daughter and three dogs. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, skiing and camping.
